Hello Deacon. I've am a long time reader. I have followed you to Beliefnet, but I cannot help feeling there is something different posting on that Website. I cannot put my fingers on it, but it just has a different feel. Anyhoo. Do you have the same amount of editorial control? How about the moderation of the comments?
I sort of know what you mean. The place has a very different feel.
Yes, I have the same control I always had. Part of the arrangement was that I'd be able to do what I've always done. So far, no problem. (I checked with others who blog there to ask if they had any interference with their work, and every one said no.)
The audience is a little different -- more progressive, I'd say, and undoubtedly more diverse.
The software is more time-consuming for posting, which I sometimes find cumbersome and slow.
I can delete comments as I wish. There is a moderation component, but I haven't learned how to use it yet.
I really do not like the new blog space. Half of the screen is taken up with advertising and I truly prefer it when the blogger chooses what he (or she) prefers to advertise (like sprititual books). I followed you over ... but I prefer to see the whole article on one screen than to waste time following it to another page. Val
