Lining up in Louisville

Some happy news from the Bluegrass State: the Archdiocese of Louisville will be adding 14 more deacons to its ranks at the end of this week.

The local Catholic paper, the Record, has the news, for the record, including brief biographies of the men about to be ordained.

My prayerful good wishes go out to all! You'll be in my thoughts and prayers this weekend.

As one of the fourteen men to be ordained in Louisville this weekend - as a regular reader of your blog - I want to thank you for you kind well wishes.

We've had a great formation period of four years and this Saturday we will prostrate ourselves before Archbishop Kurtz at the Cathedral in downtown Lousivlle.

We're as ready as we can be, and are about to find out just how true was the theme of our recent Ordination retreat really was: "Everything's About to Change."
